How to buy a saree online: a short checklist
A saree is easier to judge in your hands than on a screen. This checklist covers what to look at so there are no surprises when it arrives.
What should I read first on a saree page?
The name and the weave line. They tell you the fibre, the weave and the town it was woven in. The cloth and weave tab then lists the fabric, the technique, the motifs and the weight.
How should I look at the photos?
Open each picture. The gallery shows the whole drape, then the border, the pallu and the blouse piece. Handwoven cloth varies a little from saree to saree, and small differences in the weave are part of it.
Will the colour match my screen?
It can look slightly different, depending on your screen's brightness and settings. If the exact shade matters, ask us for a video call and we will show you the saree live.
What if it does not suit me?
Sarees that are unworn and still have their tags can be exchanged within 7 days of delivery. Read the returns and exchange page before you order.
